Thermodynamics of the two-dimensional black hole in the Teitelboim-Jackiw theory.

چکیده
The two-dimensional theory of Teitelboim and Jackiw has constant and negative curvature. In spite of this, the theory admits a black hole solution with no singularities. In this work we study the thermodynamics of this black hole using York’s formalism. PACS numbers: 04.70.Dy, 11.25.-w, 97.60.Lf

متن کاملEntropy of Extremal Black Holes in Two Dimension
In this paper we apply the entropy function formalism to the two-dimensional black hole which come from the compactification of the heterotic string theory with the dilaton coupling function. We find the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy from the value of the entropy function at its saddle point. Also we consider higher derivative terms. After that we apply the entropy function formalism to the Jackiw...
متن کاملBlack holes of a general two-dimensional dilaton gravity theory.
A general dilaton gravity theory in 1+1 spacetime dimensions with a cosmological constant λ and a new dimensionless parameter ω, contains as special cases the constant curvature theory of Teitelboim and Jackiw, the theory equivalent to vacuum planar General Relativity, the first order string theory, and a two-dimensional purely geometrical theory. The equations of this general two-dimensional t...
متن کاملZero-brane approach to quantization of multiscalar field theories and its application for fixed-gauge Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity about instanton-dilaton black hole solution
The effective zero-brane action approach is generalized for arbitrary multiscalar fields. As an example, by virtue of this method we derive the nonminimal particle action for the Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity at fixed gauge in the vicinity of the black hole solution as an instanton-dilaton doublet. When quantizing it as the theory with higher derivatives, it is shown that the appearing quantum equa...
